What is Website Hosting
A “Web Host” or “Hosting Provider” is a folder on a server up on the Web which you rent, and where your website pages and email resides.
Your Web Host is where your Domain Name Registrar sends visitors when they type your domain name.
Not all Web Hosts are the same
If you are planning to purchase hosting from a third party, please first ask us about hosting requirements for your website. This is important for several reasons including the different server technologies used by various Hosts might not support some coding on your website.
What is a Domain Name
When people type your domain name (for example www.mysite.com) it's your domain registrar that forwards them to your web host where your website pages and email boxes reside. How do I register a Domain Name
Your domain name is possibly the most important aspect of your Web presence and should be treated like you would a trademarked company name. We use MyDomain.com which provides domain name registration for all major top-level domains (TLDs) for around $10 per year.
